ASHRAE Summary of Notable Historical Events – 2024-2025
November 6th 2024 – Society President Dennis Knight P.E., BEMP, Fellow Life Member ASHRAE visited chapter and presented during chapter meeting.
March 12th 2025 – Regional Climate Action Planning during Chapter Meeting. Climate Pollution Reduction Grant from the Environmental Protection Agency awarded to Lexington-Fayette Metropolitan Statistical area to develop a Priority and Comprehensive Climate Action Plan for Bourbon, Clark, Fayette, Jessamine, Scott, and Woodford Counties.
May 26th 2025 – Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings, and Construction hosted a three–day public workshop to review and update current Kentucky Building codes. Region VII Officers Grant Page, PE (Nominating) and Douglas Cage, PE, GPCP, ERYT (Government Affairs RVC) represented both Region VII and the Bluegrass Chapter.
