Topic: Building Code Mechanical Plan Review Process
This presentation will be a brief overview of items that are highlighted from the 2009 and 2012 IECC during Mechanical Plan Review.  We will also discuss the most problematic issues seen on a regular basis during plan review or inspections as it relates to the energy codes.

I spent 17 years in residential construction as a Superintendent.  Three for a custom builder and 14 with a large home builder. Started as an inspector for LFUCG in the Residential Section in 1999.  Obtained my Level III Certification in December 2000. I moved to the Commercial Section in 2003.  I was the Senior Commercial Facilitator.  I was the person tasked with guiding applicants through the permitting process.  I was also Building Inspection’s face to the Planning Commission. I was promoted to Manager of the Mechanical Section in 2013.  Mechanical plan review was a major portion of my responsibilities.

I have been a member of the Code Administrators Association of Kentucky (CAAK) since 1999.
